Bonus Ladino Concert Follows Film:
After the film, and included as part of the movie admission ticket,
the Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival presents an exciting Ladino concert featuring
well-known jazz vocalist Kat Parra, who has leapt beyond the boundaries of the
typical Latin jazz singer and has developed, along with her musical director Murray
Low, new arrangements of Ladino music. Kat received a grant from the Zellerbach
Foundation to explore and develop the exciting and vibrant music of
the Sephardic Jews and she will share the rich music that she discovered as part
of her own personal connection to Spanish Jewry.
